At Kiltimagh Park Hotel, we were thrilled to host the 2025 Original Irish Hotels (OIH) Annual General Meeting. As a proud member of OIH, it was a fantastic opportunity to welcome hoteliers from all across the country to the west of Ireland. It was an exciting day full of networking, insightful discussions, and engaging activities, all centered around the shared passion for Irish hospitality.
The day began with a warm welcome from our team, and it was wonderful to see familiar faces as well as new ones. Our guests were treated to a day filled with opportunities to learn, share knowledge, and connect with industry leaders.
A Breakdown of the Day's Events:
Morning Registration
The day kicked off with registration and a welcome tea and coffee session in the Refferty Suite. This provided a perfect chance for attendees to get settled, enjoy a light bite, and reconnect with colleagues and peers before the official AGM began.
The AGM
The AGM commenced, where key updates and discussions on the future of the OIH were shared. It was an insightful session that allowed members to get a clear overview of the association’s goals and direction. There were discussions on the latest trends in hospitality, challenges the industry faces, and innovative solutions that are being implemented across the country.
Exhibitors & Industry Insights
During the breaks, attendees had the chance to visit our exhibitors. Local suppliers, partners, and businesses presented their products and services, offering valuable insights into the latest innovations within the hospitality industry. The presence of these exhibitors added an extra layer of excitement to the event, providing attendees with hands-on experiences and opportunities to explore new collaborations.
Lunch & Networking
After a productive morning, it was time to enjoy a delicious lunch in Chapter Twenty Three. Our guests were treated to a fresh, seasonal spread of local delicacies, with a menu designed to cater to all tastes. The relaxed lunch setting allowed attendees to mingle, share ideas, and discuss the key takeaways from the AGM. The service was impeccable, with our team ensuring that everyone had everything they needed to fully enjoy their meal.
Unique Local Experience
After an action-packed day of learning and networking the group left the hotel for an afternoon activity. Guests participated in an exciting, action-packed adventure, designed to encourage collaboration and team-building. Evening Reception & Dinner
The evening was rounded off with a drinks reception followed by a delightful 7 course dinner. Guests were treated to a five-star dining experience, with food that was as delicious as it was beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and alive, with many fellow hoteliers getting up to sing a song or play an instrument. The amount of talant in one room was inspiring.
